1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
I graduated from college with my teaching credential!
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't really remember my resolutions from last year (that was a long time ago!), and I have not thought about making any more for 2009 since I obviously cannot keep or remember the ones I make anyway. LOL
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
No, but my little brother's girlfriend is pregnant!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thank goodness. I don't think I could've handled that at this point in my life.
5. What countries did you visit?
None unfortunately.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A teaching job.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
There are a couple, such as when my two friends' cats died, my graduation day, my first day of student teaching, the whole semester of student teaching, my friend's grandma passing away, my step brother moving in, and I'm sure many more.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Finally obtaining my teaching credential after so much hard work! Yay me!
9. What was your biggest failure?
Gaining weight when I should be losing.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
I am always ill or suffering an injury in one way or another so it is nothing new.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
My teaching credential (yes you do have to purchase your teaching credential)!
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
I think everyone I know has had behavior that merited celebration at one point or another.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
I get depressed pretty easily so probably everyone at some point or another, including myself.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Shopping sprees.
15. What did you get really excited about?
Receiving my credential, knowing that I can handle a third grade class and not go insane, my brother's girlfriend getting pregnant, and many more.
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
There really isn't a song that will remind me of 2008.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
- i. happier or sadder? I think I am sadder. It's been kind of a crazy, weird, and stressful year.
- ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter, what can I say?
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Working on issues within myself. Also, eating right and exercising.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Stressing out over everything.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
With my mom and step dad.
21. Did you fall in love in 2008?
With my third grade class (does that count?)
22. Did you fall out of love in 2008?
No.
23. What was your favorite TV program?
Jon and Kate plus eight. I love that show!
24. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I immensely dislike my step brother for many many reasons. I usually try not to get to the point where I hate someone.
25. What was the best book you read?
Jon and Kate plus eight: Multiple Blessings.
26. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Being able to sing well while playing Rock Band.
27. What did you want and got?
Closer friendships with some of my friends, my teaching credential, some rest and relaxation after a long haul of student teaching and completing the teaching program.
28. What did you want and not get?
A teaching job.
29. What was your favorite film of this year?
The Bucket List; 27 Dresses; Baby Mama; Definitely, Maybe; The Women; Hancock; The Happening; Mad Money; Made of Honor; Mama Mia; Sex and the City: The Movie; The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2; Vantage Point; Wanted; and What Happens in Vegas to name a few. Oh yeah, and all of the High School Musical movies. Yes I know, I'm a dork.
30. What did you do on your birthday?
I worked and went out to dinner with a very good friend.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
Mostly casual, but dressy when I was student teaching or subbing.
32. What kept you sane?
I am not sane!
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Zac Effron, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, Katherine Heigl, George Clooney, and many many more!
34. What political issue stirred you the most?
Prop 8.
35. Who did you miss?
My Aunt Leslie, my dad, my friend Mary, and my friend Crystal because I don't get to see her that often anymore because she is busy with teaching. Also, both of my grandmas and my grandpa who passed away a while ago.
36. Who was the best new person you met?
Some of the teachers I worked with when I was student teaching, and my student teaching supervisor.
37. What was a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008
Death is inevitable, so why be afraid?

Going gambling with my friend Crystal and her sister Charlene. It's going to be lots of fun!
