Sorry, folks, for the delay. I have no idea if more than one or two of you actually read this stuff, and given the late date and the popularity of absentee voting, how useful this is to those of you who do, but I said I'd do this, and it's been far too much procrastinating for me, so here goes...

This one is likely a yes for me because we go to state parks at least 3 times a month.

I mean no offense, p3aches, but at some point, this State is going to have to vote on things, especially revenue Initiatives, not based on what it gets us personally, but whether it's good for the State as a whole. That's why I chose an example that's both silly, and pointed. As someone who loves video games, if I followe donly my self-interest, I'd vote for my example, and possibly your (or at least some) children would so the same. But that would be passing the costs of my interests onto people who didn't benefit from it.

That's the insidious nature of this type of Proposition - it doesn't cost anyone so much that they'll object, but its supporters are very vested in the outcome (the phrase "the government that robs Peter to pay Paul will always have Paul's support" springs to mind), and it's hard for some to justify voting against parks and rec. But the incremental nature of this type of Prop means eventually, it's so expensive to own a car that fewer and fewer prople do so (with an economic impact to match).
