On unemployment
Unemployment is kind of fun the first day. It's like a free weekend day. You wake up, get to eat cereal and watch whatever in your pajamas, and think "Now I have all this free time to finish these projects and clean the house before I go back to work."
Then by the end of the day you have a mostly clean house and you're insanely bored and rather upset as you realize you still have to job hunt, have no reliable income, and get to go through the joyus interview "Why should *we* bother hiring *you*?" crap.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to clean the milk ring stains off my resume that my cereal bowl left on it.
