I’m thankful.

I’m thankful that we’ll have a new president soon.

I’m thankful that I still have a job with a stable, well-managed company.

I’m thankful that because of said employment, I’m able to buy a new car in the middle of a recession. (Or at least I hope it’s the middle-as opposed to the beginning.)

I’m thankful that I’m the least-healthy member of my immediate family right now, and that my illness is limited to a persistent cough and sporadic joint pain.

I’m thankful that I have this time to recuperate.

I’m thankful to have friends, some of whom should be expecting visits from me soon-that is, as soon as I have this infection beat.

I’m thankful for all of this, and more.
