Old news by now, but
Firefox 2.0 is out.
The new default theme is all sorts of terrible. Granted I didn’t like the default theme in 1.0, but its designers worked out the flaws and had something pretty solid by the time 1.5 came around, and now I miss that old theme terribly. Maybe the new theme will improve over time as well.
But meanwhile, ugh. It’s somewhat bearable in the Windows version, but intolerable (that is, not even close to Mac-like) in Mac OS X. Thank goodness for the
GrApple series of themes; otherwise, I might’ve given up on the Mac version of Firefox completely. I’m surprised that I didn’t discover them sooner, or I would’ve recommended them a long time ago.
