1. Hand- all animals have limbs and extending digits be they paws, hooves, or claws. This photograph is a close up the human hand contorted in a way that parallels that of an animal’s claw.
2. Feet- in going with the theme of my first photograph I also chose to include a shot of human feet. The detail depicts the shadows of veins that are complemented by the grass underfoot. The animalistic quality of being naked out in nature is suggested.
3. Bedroom- in my first two pictures I chose to depict the limbs of the human animal but in my final photograph I chose to portray where the heart is, or where the animal sleeps. The disheveled room parallels the mess an animal would leave behind.

Self Critique
For this critique I had to depict animalistic qualities in humans through three photographs. I feel after completion that I was quite successful overall. For the theme of this project I chose to not include any full pictures of the human animal, but instead tried to depict the aspects of the human animal through close ups and habitat. My two shots mounted on gator board are close-ups of the human limbs while the single mounted piece does not include a human at all but instead the evidence it leaves behind. My weakest point throughout was inability to perfectly cut and mount my photographs. I feel my technical skills of developing were very effective and successful, but my use of box cutters needs work. I feel that my artistic concept was effective and executed well. I have satisfied all requirements for this project and meet the criteria and feel that I have improved on this project more than the others.
