You guys have got to get used to my crazy schedule ;).
Added the lovely
Europa's Steiner
shrine to
Pawn's affiliates page. Her shrine offers a lot of insight that mine doesn't, and we Steiner fans should stick together.
Now going on to something completely unrelated. I want to start an interactive writing competition, and I need people who love writing. This competition will challenge writers by asking them to write different types of writing (stories, poems, letters, editorials, etc...) by a given theme each week to be judged and posted online to be voted on. Writers will be eliminated from the competition by reader-vote each week until there's a winner. It'll last six weeks, and I'm going to choose ten people to compete from writing they submit when they apply. This is a great way to get people to read your writing, and to encourage you to write again. You also really have nothing to lose, and the winner will get a 30 dollar gift certificate to Barnes and Noble ;).
I'm looking at this as just a fun way to bring writers together and to get some excellent pieces written and read. If you think you might be interested in competing, let me know through
e-mail or by commenting on this entry. You'll eventually have to submit a piece of your best writing (any genre, any type) so that I can choose the ten best applicants, but you don't have to have that now. (Although if you want to give it now, by all means go ahead.) I'm looking for a writer with enthusiasm for writing and with versatility. I'm basically looking for a literary genius.
