I've just returned from a 16-day tour of your part of the world with some of my students. Everyone we met was wonderfully friendly and kind. Your islands are so beautiful!
Pictures are coming soon, I'm uploading them to flickr now. (www.flicker.com/photos/celialooney)It's going to be a long process, because I either need to resize them, or put up with the long time it takes to upload with my new 10 megapixel camera.
I loved the tour of the Ring of Kerry, I'd never gotten to play in the ocean before, so that was amazing.
The castles were so much fun too. Two of my boys are part mountain goat, so they raced up and down stairs and had the greatest time, even in the rain.
One of my kids is afraid of heights, but he perservered all the way to the top of Blarney Castle, but couldn't bring himself to lie down and hang off the side.
Another of the boys hated most of the things we had to eat, but loved haggis. He and another of the boys bought kilts, and got to experience high-pressure salemanship!
Yeah, my bad. I did find the name for the tour "Britain & Ireland in Depth" as opposed to the tour we originally were going to do which was the "British Isles". I wonder if that's what confused me.
