Test Dementia

My students didn't do as well as I'd hoped on their big test - the highest score (which becomes the "A") was 124 out of 137.  Not too bad, but still... not many others were even close.  I covered EVERYTHING in class!  I gave them study guides!  I told them specific things that would be on the test that they STILL missed!  I don't know how many times I told them to read the instructions and review each section of the test before they turned it in, and they DIDN'T - AT ALL!  Can I blame TV?  I'd blame myself for being a lousy teacher, except that every question was answered correctly by SOMEONE.  Bleh.

*returns to drawing board, with intent to bang head against it*

I'm exhausted, but I head off right after work to sing (maybe that should be "sing") in a benefit concert for our acting company/local arts council.  I'm doing "Adelaide's Lament", which involves sneezing (a hetertofore hidden talent).

Only two episodes behind on the Office - can't hardly wait to catch up!

I'm excited - I'm seeing "Sweeney Todd" the day before Halloween, and a professional dance company production of "Thriller" (lots of fun, creepy numbers) on Halloween itself.  Also, I have a strand of sterling silver skull beads destined to become holiday jewelry, which I think will probably impress my high school students.  Woo!  What are you all doing for Halloween?
