How weird is it that I was actually consulted regarding the hiring of the person who is to become my immediate supervisor?
And that my boss actually seems interested in -- nay, more like strongly concerned with -- my feelings and opinions in the matter?
Then again, considering how my former office-mate and I clashed on a regular basis, maybe my boss is just hoping to minimize the amount of time that one or the other of us will be in her office bitching.
The fairhaired candidate seems quite pleasant. Of course, most people do seem that way when one first meets them. It's time that will tell . . . but, you know, I kind of feel positive about the whole thing. I think.
We'll see. I'm willing to defer judgement, for the time being.
