WEEKEND IN BRIEF, COMPLETE WITH TV & MOVIE NATTER!

Feb 16, 2009 17:19

I'm disappointed that I didn't get to see F13 this weekend, but it's probably for the best, as I hear the crowds everywhere WERE ENORMOUS.

Amanda had to fly this weekend, but hopefully next week, we'll get to see the movie. I was telling her about how Jared bulked up for the role.

ME: So apparently, Jared REGULARLY BENCHES 335 or better.

A: GUH.

ME: Right. So, like, he WOULDN'T EVEN NOTICE the Amanda-shaped backpack.

A: If we both lost about fifty pounds, he wouldn't even notice BOTH OF US.

Then I told her about Jared and Genevieve, and she said, "No wonder Jensen didn't go to the premiere. He's probably still sulking."

And I totally fist-pumped and yelled, "Hah! EVEN YOU see the J2!"

I did watch a fair number of cable movies this weekend, including Invincible, the based-on-a-true-story of Vince Papale. I'd never heard of the guy, but Dad talked my ear off about it when I asked. It was pretty enjoyable, in that typical-heartwarming-Disney-kind of way.

LOGO was running a Valentine's Day marathon of happy-ending movies, so I also watched Big Eden, which was just SO CUTE, although I had a tough time buying the premise. Still, suspension of disbelief and all that, you know?

Stayed up late last night and caught Living Hell on the Sci-Fi channel. I love their weekend movie marathons! I watched this one mostly for Johnathan Schaech, who as far as I can tell is famous mostly for having been married to Christina Applegate. I'd really liked him in The Forsaken, though, so it was worth watching in order to establish that, yes, I really do lust after the bad guys. 'Cause he was doing NOTHING for me as a mild-mannered teacher who saves the world!

But, you know . . . as a centuries-old Crusader knight who became a vampire by drinking the blood of one of his own comrades? Yeah, that was HOT.

Saw the commercials for The Watchmen approximately eleventy-billion times. Now, was I imagining things, or was that Jeffrey Dean Morgan running around loose in spandex? I think I cringed. No wonder they couldn't plop him in the recent flashback episode of SPN . . . dude was busy getting offed somewhere else.

Also watched The Marine for John Cena, YUM. And that chick from Nip / Tuck, the really hot blonde one, she was in it, too. I would TOTALLY do her.

ETA: I had a bunch of other stuff to say, but you know what? It's the start of a new weekend. Ah, fuck it.
