history: this ink will never fade

The war with the Earl was going terribly. The exorcists were dying left and right, leaving only Allen, Lavi, and Bookman alive. The Earl had almost won, but the 14thguided Allen to Cross's notes. That's where he found information about a seal. Allen was all for it, but Lavi didn't want to lose his closest friend again. with much persuasion (i.e. much beating and pointing out, there was no other choice), Bookman convinced Lavi to let Allen do what he needed to do.

And that's when Lavi watched the person who managed to melt the icy shield around his heart tear apart his chest, his blood activating the seal he'd carved into the ground. It was immensely successful. The Earl was sealed away, but at a high price. But before Allen died, he handed a journal over to Lavi. It contained notes about Cross's spell and the 14th. There was also a note to his future self.

It was the only time Lavi had ever cried.

Lavi and Bookman continued on for awhile, but the Vatican executed Bookman for knowing too much. That was when the Clan elected Lavi to be the new Bookman. Lavi left the Order to wander the world, taking on new aliases and forming new records. But the Vatican put out an order to eliminate everyone who knew about the war. They found him. And they found Tyki, the only surviving Noah.

Lavi's end was not a pretty one. He was placed before a firing squad alongside Tyki. Tyki was split apart by four shots of Judgment, Cross's old Innocence, as Lavi heard every moment of it. Then Lavi soon met his end as well. He was 30.

It was something he'd never forget.

Lavi. Reborn. The redhead was reborn in Russia. He was orphaned at a young age. He had no name, no identity to tie him to anyone. Bookman soon took him in. That's when the old man saw Bookman potential in the young redhead.

Lavi, 6. 1st alias.
At a very young age, Lavi took his first alias. He held a great deal of disdain towards the world, remembering completely his past life. he used it to keep himself as far away from human relationships as possible. He observed war after war, distrusting people more and more because of it. They simply repeated themselves, fighting over the same senseless thing. He felt he was better than them. All of them.

He had a great ability to mold himself to any alias the Clan told him to take. He could speak many languages, put on any face required of him (including believably friendly and personable), and even manipulate his accent. He was completely devoid of any attachment to humanity and could care less what became of it.

Lavi, 14. 49th alias.
Lavi was less than pleased to hear ofhis next record: claim the name of Lavi and join the Order. The memories of his previous life's end still tore at him. He was hunted down like a beast, killed like a common criminal, then forgotten. The new regulations of the Order, with its balances with the UN and its desire to protect its Exorcists, only marginally eased his mind. This wasn't like the last record of the Order. He wasn't going to allow himself to get close this time through. That ended poorly and he wouldn't allow that to happen again.

Lavi found himself in front of the Order's supervisor, Komui Lee. Komui remembered the past and apologized profusely for what the Vatican did to him. He had no powerto stop them, but this time, Komui profusely assured Lavi that he was safe, that the Order would protect him. Lavi seemed to accept the apology but inwardly, he still held much hatred towards the Order. Komui, however, he felt more at ease with. He allowed himself to be modified cybernetically to enhance his abilities as an Exorcist. He took on the codename, Gamma.

But then he met someone he knew. A reborn Lenalee. Then a familiar Kanda (although he was now a she.) He met Kanda during basic training and the two immediately "clicked".Through Kanda, Lavi met Daisya, an exorcist he didn't get to know very well in his previous life.

Then more and more Exorcists he recognized showed up. And that's when he met Allen. Or rather Allison. She had no memory of him, but it was Allen reborn. It tore him apart to see someone he held in such high regard not remember him at all. But this was a new life. The old one was done. What happened then was not now. But something about seeing Allen reborn panged at his heart.

Unfortunately, Allison's cybernetics malfunctioned and Cross had to reset her and restart from scratch when she was 15. That was when they truly started becoming friends once again. The past was repeating itself, and he couldn't stop it.

Many of the Exorcists attended the local high school. During Bak Chan's drama class, a transfer student,Tyki Mikk appeared. While pretending to be friendly with him, Lavi kept a close eye on Tyki. He remembered fighting Tyki, surviving the seal, and then eventually Tyki's unfortunate end.

Lavi, 18.
Over time, however, Lavi warms up toTyki and the two become close friends. In fact, Lavi was warming up to everyone. Once again, he could no longer tell which smiles were real or fake. Maybe that was the best to change once again.
