I'm a Spike & Dru girl. I think it's the fact that they're utterly crazy in love, to the point that the Judge thinks it a weakness and that Spike would do anything for her. Although that seems to be his modus operadi, see also "I'll kill Drusilla for you" directed at Buffy, which she quite sensible goes "eww, no" at, because she's not the kind of girl impressed by the still beating hearts of her enemies. The main reason I didn't like Buffy/Spike was because there's no way that wasn't eventually going to end with either fangs or a pointy stick.

That's also why I <3 Dru and Spike because they're on the same wavelength, or as close to that as Dru gets. There is a girl who will accept the still beating hearts of her enemies.
