The Christmas Curse
Has been reasonably mild this year, the oven door keeps falling off and my Mum is turning into a mushroom* but we have power unlike lots of people in the South so we're going to count our blessings and not complain.
* My grandmother wishes it to be known that my Mum is not turning into a mushroom, she just has a minor fungal infection of her foot that is taking longer than we'd want to clear up. My Mum, meanwhile, is looking forward to turning into a Death's Cap mushroom and poisoning us all.
