Just heard from Mom. Apparently Robyn's placenta had separated from Atticus sometime Monday night or Tuesday morning. He basically starved to death. He was already underweight to begin with because Robyn was having a really hard time getting his weight up.
He was perfectly formed. If this hadn't happened, he'd be alive right now. He'd be in Robyn's arms.
Why did this happen? I just don't understand.
They're doing an autopsy right now. I'm not sure yet about funeral plans. They said they'd call me tomorrow and let me know.
