*oh good lord-- Hayate could tell she was going to have trouble with this from the get to, mostly due to knowing she has a fire type as her starter and Whitney actually knocked his out when he beat her, but nonetheless he was there to try and cheer her on as best he could.*

*but now? He was just settling on giving chase to Lucifer so he could attempt to cheer her up.*

Mm... That's good. It wouldn't been pretty if you ran into something... *rummaging about in his bag, before pulling out a small blue handkerchief and offering it to her.* Here. Use this.

It's the least I can do. Besides, I couldn't just let you run off after you invited me to watch, now could I?

I don't think it was pathetic at all. You tried your hardest, your team gave their all, and you can always go back and challenge her again. There's no shame in a single loss, Lucifer-san.

I know you have your pride to think about, but you shouldn't let this get you so down... Whitney cries when she loses too, you know? But she always gets over it and takes on the next challenger. You wouldn't want her to one up you by not being strong and beating yourself up over this loss, right?
