Fall Courses

At uni this fall I'm taking Psych of Humour, Cultural Psychology, Perspectives on Global Citizenship and Spanish Applied Linguistics. I'm quite excited about all of them! Next term will be harder, since it will involve at least one course (maybe 2) that I don't like but have to take as requirement. Ironically, the most challenging course of the fall so far is the one I'm not taking at university. I'm going through fitness instructor training at my gym right now, and while I love it, it's tough! Anatomy in particular is not easy. The good news is that I'm familiar with a number of the words having studied or seen them in Scrabble before. The bad news is that for many of them, I have no idea where exactly they are on a diagram (for instance, I knew ILIA and ISCHIA from Scrabble, but I still don't have them straightened out in my diagramming). The cool part is that there are number of words that I didn't know at all that do work in Scrabble, including the nearly useless but nifty BUCCAL. Whenever I do return to tournament Scrabble I'll definitely have anatomy to thank for a miniscule improvement in vocabulary, if nothing else solidifying a few more of those pesky -OID/-OIDS.

I've decided not to apply for grad school next fall. I'm going to take at least one academic year off after my undergrad is done. I may not even go to grad school; I don't know yet. I've been in some form of school for so long, and I'd like to just be out there making money and enjoying life some more before going back to school again if I do.
