Well, you see, Thursday will be too late. If you continue taking lives and turning others into ghouls, then by Thursday, the ship will be overrun.

It isn't pretty, you know, when a ship is overrun with them. They tend to fall over the sides.

So you see, if I do it soon - Monday - you won't be able to infect quite so many, and there will be the chance of survival.

And at my age, Thursday is a very long way away.
