I just ate a shit-ton of Georgios with Laura Bell and I couldn't be happier. I got my ass out of the apartment today and went to work, did errands, and drank a couple of beers at ye old Phoenix Haus with my bffs and it was freaking awesome. I think this summer is shaping up to be some kind of wonderful, even if the glimmer will only last until it's deathly hot and humid out and East Lansing becomes boring again.
My boyfriend is really fantastic. He and I were having a weird spell, swimming in post-graduation/school's out for tha summer boredom/frustration. And then I got annoyed because we were all cooped up and nothing was going smoothly. When I got out of the bath the other night, he unexpectedly looked at me and intuitively apologized for his weirdness. He likes school and is really sad to be done for the semester. I apologized for being antsy about another summer in EL now that all I want to do is move to France. Things worked out (and always do with us) and it was/is brilliant. Sorry to gush or whatevs, but he's pretty freaking cool.
I am working at the psych lab and at woody's occasionally this summer. It may end up being boring, but I am all about thrift and reading some good books. I am trying to keep the eyes on the prize (which is traveling around Europe when I'm there) but I am always somehow able to justify cheap clothing purchases and beer. For a future note to self, EYES ON THE PRIZE, BITCH. STAY CHEAP!
So, I guess the point is BFFS+BEER+PIZZA+GOODBOYFRIEND+FRANCE= AWESOME
