As you all may or may not know I am promoting a show on MOnday. This is the very first show that I have done a lot of the grunt work and it looks as if it will be the last. I have spent about $60 in flyering and promotions. I have put my heart and soul into making sure that people come so I cna make all the bands some money. I would just like to say I am not making any money for this show, I never wanted to make any money for this show, I just want to wind up even!
I have been told tonight that one of the bands might have to drop off the bill. I have given this local band a month and a hlaf to ask off of work and now, 5 days before the show they are telling met hey can't get off work. I'm new to this whole thing, but this seems a bit unprofessional. I separate friendship and business and this is defintly not something that people feel they could probably do to any other booker, but I am being taken advantage of as a friend. Fuck that!
I promised to pay this band and to make sure that they played second. The least you can do is be responsible enough to take off work when you need to. hilge ashghkghgkhsghsg
I just want things to turn out alright. I am going to be pissed off for the rest of the week unless they decide to play this show or a fucking miracle happens. Fuuuck!
