If any of you are showing a "missed call" on your phone... it was probably me. I have wonderful news, however you all depreved me of telling you all "in person". So thus, I shall tell you by LJ and MySpace.
My news is this. Yesterday was mine and Scott's 10 month "anniversary". We went to the Eastern Shore Shopping center and looked around for gifts... didn't find much. I found something for him, and later he found a sweater for me. There was no secrets there, lol! In fact I wore it that night to dinner. Which brings me to the second part of the story. After shopping he brought me home so I could get ready for dinner... he asked me to dress nice (aka, wear a skirt)... and I did. I was pretty excited, mostly because its Christmas time... our relationship has actually lasted this long AND I was with my favorite person. Also, for some reason I took off my granmom's gold ring on my right hand and put my blue ring on the right hand which I formerly had on my left. This was a minute detail, however plays a nice part in the rest of the evening.
Dinner was fabulous... Carrabba's is the best ever. We had an excellent waiter and spent a fortune on dinner, but somehow it was worth it. So after we stuffed ourselves, we went on home (His home) to open our Christmas gifts. It was on our way home that I sensed something was going on that I didn't know about... however by the time I got out of the car (and tripped for the millionth time) I forgot all about my suspicion. Scott gave me the keys so I could open the door, which I had a very hard time doing. Once I got the door open I was laughing about my klutzyness, looked up expecting Lily to come bounding out. But instead to my surprise, I saw christmas lights (the icicles) hanging around the living room, roses pedals spread all on the floor, long stemmed roses scattered on various pieces of furniture and little tea candles waiting to be lit.... I turned around and squeaked, "What did you do?? What's all this for?" But by this time Scott was getting on his knee, picking up the ring box, opening it and saying...Actually I don't remember what he said... something about "you're are the one"... something, something "Janelle Ashley, will you marry me?" I seriously thought I was dreaming. He says I said yes, but I don't remember... I remember thinking, I need to say yes... but I couldn't get the words out. Then if that wasn't great enough, my mom, dad, his parents, grandma, Uncle David and Steph and Phil all pop out from the back of the house as Scott yells, "She said YES!" Needless to say (but I will), I was a mite overwhelmed. Shell shock...
So, in other words,,, Scott asked me to marry him and I said yes. The ring is shiny and I have NO clue when the date of the wedding is, so don't ask me, But I'm so HAPPY!!!!!
That's my good news.
And did I mention I'm HAPPY!
I'm going to go eat something now. I might be able to keep food down now... Maybe.
THE FUTURE : ~!*Mrs. Scott Rowley*!~
