Kay, so I hate facebook. With the powers of a million suns. I do not have, like other people seem to have, this misty-eyed nostalgia for years gone by. I do not think happily on my teen years with soft-hearted reminiscence. I do not talk to those people for reasons. I have never lost touch with people I know irl by accident. It's all very deliberate. And Facebook comes along with its evil evilness and makes it so if people remember how to spell your name--and goddamned, I wish people kept up with fucking my name up badly--they can find you and make like you're long lost bffs. These people hated me fifteen years ago. Hated. And now, omg, it's YOU and I've not seen you FOREVER. Do you remember me? I slept with your BOYFRIEND! When we were FOURTEEN! LET'S GO OUT AND RECONNECT.
DNW.
ugh. And it sucks because I'm doing the closed beta for Dragon Age: Legends on Facebook. And people are there.
Five Shows I Liked Against My Will:
1. Hawaii 5-0: I did not mean to like it. I really didn't. But Danny owns my heart. He really does. It took like ten episodes for me to like Steve. I adore Kono and my daughter idolizes her. I think Chin is awesome and should get together with Danny and have beautiful smiles. I think Rachel is great and Catherine is awesome and can do so much better (than Steve) and the Governor is awesome. Great show.
2. Criminal Minds: I hated this show. For years. I watched the one with the killer carnie. And thought that if Derek had one more pedantic monologue on the nature of "unsubs" that I was going to scream. Seriously. Hated. This. Show. Then, idek what happened. Somehow, it was the only show that was on and I was suddenly hooked and I fell in love with Hotch and Emily. I never was too fond of Elle, but Garcia and Emily and JJ (why, show, why?) and Hotch and Derek. I just fell hard.
3. Leverage: Kay, so the ads for the show annoyed me to no end and I managed to never see a single episode during the first season. Then, I saw the wedding episode. And fell in love. The whole team. Wow.
4. American Idol: So, I watched the first three seasons of the real world and one season of Survivor and decided that I, in general, have minute patience for reality tv. I do not like it most of the time. People are kinda crappy to other people and I rarely relate to the people on these shows. My mum watched it and I watched with her. Like a train wreck, this show. Like an effing train wreck. I always so I'm never going to watch the next season, and I always end up watching the damned thing.
5. The Biggest Loser/Hoarders/Intervention: These all count as the same thing. Well, The Biggest Loser is kinda different, but the main issue is people with problems get help and are televised while doing it. I don't know why I watch them. They all can break your heart and you always hope for the best, but you leave never really thinking it's over for the people involved...even for those that somewhat succeed.
