Title: Everywhere There's Sines.
Pairing: Osamu/Gin
Rating: G
Summary: Gin, not for the first time, has no idea what Osamu's talking about.
For: whisper132 who wanted Osagin and math.

Gin sat off to the side-not sulking, definitely not sulking-and listened as Osamu and his college buddies got into a discussion about math of all things.

He only tried to add something to the conversation once. Didn't his father tell him that co-signs have to do with papers at the bank? He was favoured with various reactions ranging from pitying to incredulousness to fond amusement.

Right now, it sounded a lot like, "Blah blah blah coefficient blah blah blah square root blah blah blah."

Gin had no idea what Osamu was talking about. At all.

"What do you think, kid?" Osamu asked after a few more minutes. Gin wasn't sure if this was Osamu's poor attempt to include him in the conversation or a test to see if any of Osamu's tutoring had paid off at all. It didn't matter, really, because he stopped paying attention four vectors ago.

Gin took a careful sip of his tea. "I think maybe we should be getting home," he replied with what he hoped was a sultry tone instead of an obvious desperate attempt to change the discussion.

Osamu drained his beer, bid goodbye to his friends, and was ready to leave in two minutes. It was rather gratifying and well worth the two hours of intermittent embarrassment and boredom. The only math Gin cared about was the distance to their flat and the speed in which they got there.
