Things:
1. I'm editing a really awesome, really wrong doujinshi right now. *fweee*
2. I still am the Nana of a puppy.
So, to prepare myself to write the Wild Adapter porn and the Executive Committee fic, I spent time playing Dead or Alive last night. I wanted to see how many times I lost before I wanted to break the fucking remote. It took less than twenty minutes.
A few notes on Wild Adapter...
It's the guns and the death and the violence and the obsession. Well, that's part of it anyhow. I never have loved a series as much as Wild Adapter, and here's why. I like action movies. This manga is just like an action movie. There's violence and death and criminals and no certainty of a happy ending. People that you like die, and bastards continue to live. There's intrigue. But most of all, there's obsession.
It's nothing new to anyone that knows me that understands that I love reading and watching about relationships that are fucked up. Possessiveness and ruthlessness. I love a bastard. And Kubota is one beautiful bastard. There's nothing more gratifying to me to read something with such a narrow-minded devotion, that these two are all they can see. It's beautiful. One of my favourite things to say is how I like couples that "would rather be fucked up together than healthy apart."
It is debatable, in this circumstance. Is Kubota better for Tokito or worse? In some ways better, because he becomes, well, more human. Though, worse, in a way, because he places Tokito's life not just above others' lives, but way above them. No one but Tokito really counts. I find that so fucking sexy. Hahaha. Kubota willing would, and has, killed countless people just for Tokito's sake. It's such a beautiful dysfunctional connection they have. The world can burn for all they care, so long as they are together.
Yum.
*heehee*
Another note on Death Note...
I don't get the philosophy. Either there's justice in this world, or the next. If there's only nothingness, then there's no reason why someone like Light is wrong. If Light's sense of justice is wrong, then there should be some sort of divine punishment.
