I bring three recs and a fic.
Firstly, omg the heavens are smiling upon me, life is wonderful, evaporate wrote the bestest, most awesomest thing ever.
Not only did she write, Sea Spray which was ten million ways awesome and brilliant, she also wrote this beautiful, delightful, brilliant piece, Torching the Barricade.
What can I say? She's made of win. She doesn't write fluff. You can believe that her Tezuka and Fuji are together. It's like scenes out of canon. She never forgets who they are, and how they relate. They are so simple, subtle, but there's so much underlying her words. She never needs to use the words, "i love you." You can tell. It's there. In everything unsaid. Masterful storyteller and a brilliant way with these two characters. And, well, it was fucking hot. REALLY FUCKING HOT. Awkward in all the best of ways. Masterful, I tell you.
Secondly, someone wrote InuiKaidoh well. Not just good. DAMNED GOOD. whisper132, I totally ♥ you for this. Because, well, it was awesome. I loved your Kaidoh. And Your Inui. It was so subtle. I loved how they weren't just caricatures of their characters. They were them. And Fuji! omg. So many people make him crazy and psycho...but you, that beautifully crafted over-protectiveness in a genuine concern for his team mates. Brilliant.
