on a related note : language and feeling?

my brain's been wandering around in the background on this concept of "easily verbalized ideas". i wonder, can anyone recommend something to read on the way English compares to other languages in its handling of emotion(happiness, grief, the broad definition of love, connection to others). seems like it would be a nearly impossible thing to attempt to write about. i read the Geography of Thought a couple years ago, and it had some fascinating points on relationships in a non-emotional sense, and how the cultural world-view is reflected in the language. so, something along those lines but attempting to tackle expression of emotion?
