Like Ralph Waldo Emerson I stay "Self-Reliant" remaining genre defiant
----------------------------------------------------
I thought that I would take some time to try and write a little bit in my livejournal.
Grad School/Teaching Assistant position continue to teach me lessons in time management while at the same time I am having a blast with the content matter. I have found that my social life has been hit a little bit hard because of all of this shtick but I am trying - believe me.
So after receiving my first paycheck from this gig I decided to buy an HP netbook. I am really liking it so far...can't complain. Hopefully I can write on here a little more often.
I am extremely happy that my hopes of a Yankee-Dodger World Series are coming closer to realization. A couple of more series and we are there! There should be many interesting story lines/sub-plots out of this match-up.
After spending a couple of minutes on here I realize that there is so much more that I want to talk about. This is when time conceptually becomes linked with monetary value and I feel the heavy weight of debt pressing down upon my being; in a way, it kind of reminds me of that pivotal scene in Ernest Hemingway's "The Snows of Kilimanjaro."
Anyway, I have a novel to finish by Cara Black entitled Murder in the Marais. It is a pretty interesting novel set in France featuring private investigator Aimee Leduc as she rushes to uncover the reasons behind a mysterious murder which ends up revealing hidden political agendas and Post WWII neo-nazi movements.
I also have a document to transcribe as a taste of archival work. I'm not supposed to refer to specifics online or anyway because it is a copyrighted document that belongs to a specific archive. It is a really interesting assignment to say the least.
Anyway, I will leave you -- my dear reader -- off with a video of another one of my performances:
