The Color of Eyes

Hell was a quiet place for Jane. The confusion had slowly died down to a quiet but painful hum, and oblivion was the only thing she enjoyed. She had lost every one she ever really cared about, and every one else was apathetic.

Jane wished she could sell her life, it would have been fun to get rid of it, but sadly there was no way, besides death, and if she died she would be able to wallow in the fact that nobody cared. She was starting to enjoy the lack of emotion shown to her. She was so close, but she still seemed to love both Aaron and Oliver, if not in different ways, it was holding her back.

She started to wonder what Rose and Kate, Olivers and Aaron's new flings, had that she didn't. They were both beautiful but supposedly so was she. She continued to wonder about these thoughts. She then started to think about how much both of them lied to her considering that they both left her, and if they truly cared, they wouldn't have left her for some one else, and wouldn't have ignored her when in her time of pain. Oblivion. She thought about how much they hurt her, and how unfair it was, but then realized that it was her own fault. She had Aaron for as long as she could remember but then gave him up, who was she to not be angry at him for liking some one else. And Oliver was there and with her, but she kept running off, he had no obligation to stay with her, it was all her fault. But then she stopped herself, she changed her mind, it wasn't her fault, if they really cared they would have stayed with her, or at least not ignored her completely. She then realized what they had that she didn't: Blue eyes.

Jane with her sudden realization, wished she had blue eyes, she wished she could gouge her own eyes out and replace them, some day, it would all go way, her pain would disappear, and she would be happy, or at least empty.

Sadly Jane didn't understand , her self deprecation and depression never let her realize that the color of eyes didn't matter in the game of love....
