It depends on which station you choose to listen to. Some are scheduled, others you can call in to request.

Okay now we're talking. You're much more helpful than the last guys I spoke to. So what if I wanted to play a new song. Would I need to bring a CD to the tower to play it? I mean I'm a rock star so they'd have to let me in, that's obvious.
