Second Rule [Video/Action in Cherrygrove]

Dec 05, 2010 12:13

[Kneesocks Daemon is having a spot of tea at a restaurant in Cherrygrove, outside. Her Beedrill hums behind her, twitching in eagerness to fight. After she half empties her cup, she addresses the Pokegear.]

I am broadcasting this message to ask those who have been here longer some recommendations.

[France appears to be eating lunch.]

It's more what types of pokemon you should catch. You need to build a balanced team that makes up for individual weaknesses and brings new strengths. Say, your Beedrill is a good Bug-Poison combination type, but you need a Fire, Rock, or Psychic type to make up make up for it's weaknesses.

[He takes a sip of his coffee before adding.]

If you're traveling alone, you should definitely stock up on Repels. You don't want to tire your pokemon out too much against weaklings.

[it's like they're on a date togetherNO IT ISN'T.]

Wise words. I shall stock up on those types as soon as they are available to me. Fire, Rock, Psychic.

[sip sip.]

That would be annoying, to fight so many weaklings. Even they run out of use after a while.

[Hon hon hon hon hon -]

You could probably pick up a good Rock type in the cave on the junction of Route 30 and 31. Watch out, though; the Geodudes are pretty easy to trip over.

[France watches her over the brim of his cup, eyes upturned in amusement.]

The amount of experience your pokemon get from those substantially weaker than them isn't worth the effort. I keep telling Marianne that, but I think she wants to eat them.

I don't trip. I am far more observant and careful than most pathetic people.

[But she does nod, showing she is listening and memorizing this info.]

As long as it doesn't bother me in any way, I allow mine to do as he pleases to whatever Pokemon he sees, within limits.

[Oh, the amusement. It will never end.]

Dark Cave is dark; it's pretty easy to trip even if you have very good coordination.

[France waves his hand off-screen and Marianne jumps up onto the table with David on her back.]

These two are quite a team together: Marianne makes the trouble and David covers for her. They're quite darling.

I wasn't thinking that anything called 'Dark Cave' would be easy to see into. I shall make my way of finding a light source before entering, obviously.

Indeed. Quite.

Nope, never.

[He winks cheekily.]

After all, I am like a moth to the flame that you light in my heart.

I'm sure that will break the hearts of all your other flames.

Perhaps, perhaps. But flames can come together and blossom as one great fire.

[Wink wink wink.]

With that attitude, you're liable to get burned.

For love, there is no river I would not at least try to cross.
