I suppose that the situation that I was in was that I had a role to play in the End of the World, but I was taken out of it before I could do anything.

It was. Though, at the time, I did not think of it as particularly important. I was under the belief that there was nothing that I cared about in the world so I did not care if the world would end. Still, I am told not to worry about such things because if I am here, I am still not where I am supposed to be and so should not worry about it.

Well, I guess you could say I was involved in saving the Outer Lands. Except, really, lately I've just been chasing after a kidnapped troublemaker.

Yeah. A... friend of mine, I guess you'd call him. Wherever he goes, he tends to get into trouble, or cause trouble, so...

Well, someone we know kidnapped him, and the kid's pretty important to me, so I was trying to get him back.
