I didn't expect the hurt of prop 8 passing to be so intense. I didn't expect to overshadow my joy at Obama's win. Good things came out of last night. Obama was elected. Prop 4 was defeated. we picked up a few seats in congress. The Dems took Florida, Indiana, Ohio, Virginia and maybe even North Carolina.
The girl in the coffee shop asked me how my day was going, I said "not well. I woke up with fewer rights today than I had yesterday." She gave me my bagel for free.
In talking to a friend in the office, he points out that we can't hold on to this anger. We have to find some other way to cope with this.
