Anette's "Ghost Love Score" @ Montova, Italy (3.30.09)
OMG!! I just found out Anette finally performed "Ghost Love Score!!!" And not only GLS--Nightwish performed "Escapist" live too!!! My two favorite NW songs of all time that I went to 2 separate concerts on this Dark Passion Play Tour to go see (and they never performed either... =__=), all in one night?!?! Those fans in Mantova, Italy are insanely lucky!!

"Escapist" sounded incredible, as expected (my fave of the Anette-original songs, definitely! Though "Amaranth" is a close second); "GLS" was a bit high for Anette during a lot of it, but I thought her take on the ending ("Redeem me..." onward) was interesting. Tarja still owns that one though. But I think I actually like Anette's "Dead Boy's Poem" more than Tarja's... something about the clarity/purity of Anette's voice makes the opening verses of the song more plaintive and childlike, which suits the words, IMO.

Such an amazing concert...!! Those Italian fans are so lucky~!! I don't know what they did to deserve this amazing concert (well, you can hear them all singing along in the vids--guess they are truly enthusiastic fans and they seemed to give Anette a warm welcome, which she deserves after all the crap those Brazilian fans gave her >.<). In any case, next tour, I'm going to plan a vacation to Italy during NW's concert there--gotta see a NW concert in style! These US concerts are so tiny we don't get any of the cool pyrotechnics or confetti. So I'll definitely head to Italy or maybe France (there's a huge fanbase there, I hear) for a NW concert someday!
