My room-mate made dinner tonight, soba noodle with stir-fried veggies. I thought we three... a visiting Kristin G, Patrick and I... were going to cook and clean together, but Patrick just handled it himself while Kristin and I caught up with each other, it was a pleasant surprise.
It's nice to have room-mates who can cook. Once, before I was a resident, we whipped up an indoor picnic, complete with potato salad, watermelon, green salad, fried "chicken" and lemon cake. It seriously still surprises me how many grown-ass people can't cook a decent meal; if it involves anything more than a toaster, microwave or boiling water, they're lost.
