cruel to be kind

The only regret I had was taking that hockey puck over the polaroid camera; trying to make someone else happy, bah... but that was taken care of. Now I have a much less superficial regret, once again, trying to make someone else happy... saving feelings if you will. Cruel to be kind, would have been some good advice. Instead I've dug a much deeper, painful hole.

To make things worse, this whole situation is similar to some unintegritiful bullshit that I've called people out on... and now I'm doing it.
