The other day in the shower, I was thinking about redesigning the food pyramid. Instead of grains being at the bottom, making the base & bulk of our diet, cruciferous vegetables would take their place. Vegetables (roots & low glycemic fruits) would be a separate food group from the cruciferous variety. I even considered including fermented foods as a part of the pyramid... this is as far as I've gone, it's still in the speculation stages.
Continuing with food nerdiness, I am currently sipping on a Wild Root flavored
High Country KombuCha. It taste a bit like root beer due to the sarsaparilla root. For the first time in quite a while, I came across a kombucha loogie, quite exciting. GTs just doesn't have the strands of culture it used to and that fact is quite disappointing.
