my mother is a goddess

I am apparently the most spoiled child in the universe and that makes me incredibly happy! listen to me squee. squee, I tell you!
So I was speaking to my mother and relating kat's advice to me as a graduating student to a non graduating student, and that advice was to travel if you had the chance. And I was telling my mother how I had finally and suddenly spoken to johanna that afternoon, and how i was going to start saving my paychecks instead of squandering them on piles of useless CDs, so I could comfortably go visit her in Holland. My mother's response was simple. I want to travel anywhere? She'll pay half of all my travel costs. Including tickets. Oh. My. Goodness. And then she reminisced about some of the trips she's taken. Yes to Leiden! Johanna is still very pro me coming out there. Which would be awesome. Listen to how my vocabulary disintegrates with excitement. If this would work out, it would be fabulous. But it doesn't stop there. My mother is willing to support multiple trips- this puts the possibility of visiting Ben on the table, if he'll have me. (My mother says: "Japan was beautiful! Be sure to go to the shrines!")I've also harbored a desire for Tokyo for a while, which is near the Benjamin. And now that I know someone in the country..... And Johanna might do the WT thing with me. Johanna and Circe wandering about Europe... I'm pretty sure I can convince her to go to Spain, and I bet I could pull the Germany bit just for the sake of it's infrastructure and health care. So many possibilities! Yar!
Of course, I just realized that my passport expired 3 years ago, and I still have reinstatement forms to fill, and blood is a gorgeous color but I'm in pain and nauseous, but hey. If I get my shit together things will be good. Also of note, I've decided that I need to learn Dvorak for real this time. James was my first ever crush here at school, and part of that was due to his Dvorak keyboard. Additionally, my wrists are hurting more and more, and I need to be more of a computer geek. V important. Yes. Sooo hungry. L1 is in town, though Ro just left. They went out on a date to the drive-in in the green monster yesterday. Since I wasn't able to defile with Ben, I got two sexy girls to do it instead. Probably cooler than me.
Where is my kitchen wench? Dinner awaits...
