new new new rasputina! i'm a squealing girl. i've only listened to it through once, (but that involves listening to 'possum in the grotto', 'if your kisses can't hold the man you love' and 'the mayor' multiple times)and i think cabin fever is still my favorite, but i haven't listened it into the ground yet, and i seem to recall thinking how we quit the forest was my favorite when cabin came out originally, so, who knows. this one seems more rock and less cello. i liked how cabin fever joined the supercello from ether with the more experimental harder forest stuff. and i feel this is more like forest...there are 2 new band members though, and i have to listen much much more. i'm just happy it's out and they're touring, and oh my goodness my boss is so cool. i'm glad that he's so incredibly cool yet not skeezy at all. we were talking some more today, he's pretty much met every band i love and knows all about them. it's neat. he's actually sort of friends with iggy. they correspond. my mouth just drops at those sort of things. he has all sorts of great stories from when he was part of the scene. he's met pig twice, and is gonna let me copy all the elusive oldskool/japan only releases he has. he has the full catalogue. stroll in the pork and all that. and he's excited about the new descendants album, and suggested i put christian death on my work gothy mix. also, the first dvd he ever bought was city of lost children. mad props, yo.

i might go to a feminist conference in wisconsin with kat and conner next weekend. it would involve staying with violet. it could be interesting. or terrible. i'm still not sure. i can't decide if us getting along well would be good or bad.

and i was upset yesterday and got my mind off of it by watching the britney spears 'driven' on vh1. and that in and of itself was upsetting. and then it came back today and i responded by buying 'exile on main street', the first stooges album, and underwear. i can't decide if that is supposed to upset me or not.
