The thing is, it's ALWAYS straight, Moffat loving dudes. I think they see "Classic and New Who (except for Moffat era)" listed under the favorite shows section, and think that because they like Doctor Who obviously bringing that up is a great way to flirt with me, and impress me with their superior Doctor Who knowledge.

All it impresses me with is the urge to smack them.

WHO TRIES TO FLIRT WITH GIRLS BY BRINGING UP THINGS THEY SAID THEY DON'T LIKE

Well, given they're Moffat fans, maybe they're going for his approach to flirting. Annoy someone enough and obviously they'll be interested.

Wait, you mean that doesn't actually work? ARE YOU SURE? Obviously there's something wrong with you....

My husband and best friend watched DW since... well, forever, Classic and New Who. Sure they joked about the bad special effects that were one thing we all identify with the best in British SF. When Moffat took over they started yelling and throwing things at the T.V. If they wanted to flirt at a science fiction convention, they'd use what Moffat's done TO DW as an opening.

(This reminds me of when I saw the first TNG movie at a showing near an army base. There were two obviously non-intersecting groups of fans, and they applauded and clapped at totally different times. When they tried to talk to each other, the languages didn't translate.)

See, but if someone messaged me and said "Man, I hate Moffat's run too!" that would automatically make me like them. Where are those people???
