So.. the Queen of England bestowed a title on Edward Kennedy.. an honorary Knighthood.
Now.. here's the funny part.
He's not a British Citizen, so he's "Edward Kennedy , KBE" (Knight Commander of the British Empire.)
BUT..
Here's the REALLY funny part.
He can't accept it.
US Constitution:
No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.
Nice, huh? He's got to get permission first :)
