Birthday surprises
this year for my birthday I wanted it to be very low key: since I have been swamped and stressed at work, all I wanted to do was to take the day off, go for a massage and spend it reading. the spa unfortunately was fully booked so I could only go the next day. I spent the day pottering around the house and was pleasantly surprised when the folks at Fedex showed up bearing gifts and lovely birthday cards. Imagine my glee when I saw this box:

I am absolutely LOVING this baby. it's a nice size that brings me from day to night, and such a classic. I promptly brought it out for a spin for my birthday dinner (the duck confit was a disappointment) but the purse more than made up for it. Many many thanks to Cinderfella for indulging me so!
