The thoughts he wanted to share with Gellert were too many and too loud to allow him sleep. At first he was simply making notes so he didn’t forget anything when he saw him tomorrow, but somehow he ended up penning Gellert a letter. Albus decided to send it, thinking Gellert would find it amusing to receive a midnight owl from him.
He went to get a drink of water and then settled himself back in bed. But before sleep could fully claim him, he was roused by his owl tapping at the window. Gellert had written him a response.

A student is telling her friends about a boy she befriended over the summer. They giggle and the words “summer fling” are uttered.
It takes Albus back almost a hundred years to the summer he met a boy unlike any he’d known before. He remembers how once they became so engrossed in conversation as they walked that they were quite lost before they realized they’d left the village and wandered into the woods. He remembers the way Gellert’s hair looked in the sunshine and how warm his skin felt.
It makes him smile until he remembers Gellert imprisoned within Nurmengard.

After the feast is over, Sansa invites him to her solar for a final cup of wine. They sit beside each other in companionable silence for a while. Then Sansa rests her head on his shoulder and Jon feels compelled to put his arm around her.
He’s just a brother comforting his sister. There’s nothing untoward about it, so why does he feel so wicked?

The brothers remaining were rivermen and northmen, except him. Gendry had nowhere else to go, nor did he want to leave, not when R’hllor’s will was clear.
The kiss of life had revived Lady Stark and they were duty-bound to follow her. Their mission was different, to be sure. No longer were they delivering the king’s justice. Now they delivered the red god’s justice.
