Even though I work, I love the weekends. My assignments are always interesting and I usually get some free time during the day. Today should be really fun. First I'm going to a pet halloween contest...hahaha. On the flyer it says there is going to be outrageous pet tricks, I'm looking forward to that. Then at 2:30 I'm taking a couple of mugs, which is boring and will take two minutes. At 5 is when all the drams starts. In Poulsbo the theatre company is putting on a production of The Larmie Project, and demonstrators from the gay-hating south are apparently going to protest. So, the Kitsap community is going to anti-protest them in a community-building rally. I'm hoping the church folk are really riled up and hate-filled with some rally folk, so that the pictures have a lot of emotion. Although, I also think that it's really horrible that they would come to Poulsbo from all the way across the country. I want to do a good job on this.
The paper's attitude toward this story kind of bothered me, but I don't really think they understand what this church does. Oh well. Hopefully the reporter knows what is going on.
In other news. I finally watched Bend it Like Beckham. I rented it alone, but it was a really good movie. I thought the mom was funny. "There is a reason why sporty spice is the only one of them without a fella." Oh the Brits crack me up. When I was little I always wished I had a british accent, so that I fit into my family better (on my mom's side, she was born in England). I also rented the first tape of Queer is Folk. It was good, I think I'll have to rent the next one. It's always such a commitment to start watching a series from the start. I never did finish all the seasons of Sex in the City, maybe I'll have to add that to my list too. Ok, time to get ready for work. Yay for dressed up pets...haha.
