Hurricane season always manages to catch me by surprise, so I end up unprepared. There's no bottled water. There are no batteries, and if there were, I don't think I own a flashlight. There are people whose power just came on today after the damage from Cindy, and now Dennis is supposed to hit, when? Sunday, I think. According to the weather channel right now, we're just going to get the edges of it, but it's now a Cat 4. I still don't think I'm leaving the city. Friends in Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, how are you guys? Are you anywhere near where it's going to make landfall? NO people, what are you doing? Staying or going? The first time I ever evacuated was last year for Ivan, and I always feel a little foolish when I get so freaked out about it. At the same time, I would like to not drown. All school events are cancelled for today and the weekend. I have to go to work in about an hour and a half, and then maybe I'll go to Wal-Mart to buy a flashlight.
