(no subject)
Last night I saw Laena's tweet about The Like being on indefinite hiatus. Just in case I'd forgotten for a minute that bandom is the most heartbreaking of fandoms. I mean, I know "hiatus" doesn't necessarily equal "broken up forever," but they seemed to being doing so well and to be gaining momentum and to be so happy about it. I just keep thinking about Annie's story of how she joined the band, and I'm pretty bummed out you guys. :(

For the sake of concert-logging, I saw MCR on Tuesday night. They're not one of the bandom bands I ever had a really strong emotional attachment too - at least not beyond my (not exactly) secret Pete/Mikey tinhat - but I've always really enjoyed their music. That is still true! They were really fun and Gerard was adorably ridiculous (though distinctly less stage-hot than I remembered).
This weekend I'm going out of town to visit one of my high school bffs, which is going to be a glorious and much needed break. Tonight I'm going to play my new favorite game of seeing how many beers I can drink before I have to stop playing Portal 2 because I've lost the ability to logically problem solve. Maybe I will go to zumba first. Maybe. (<- Typing this paragraph makes me realize how really, really glad I am not to be in school anymore. I can't believe it's been almost a year since I graduated. It does NOT feel like it's been that long, wow).
