I spent the last half of the episode chanting to myself, "it's not true; it's all a secret plan. it's not true; it's all a secret plan." SECRET PLAN, DO YOU HEAR ME? LA LA LA DENIALCAKES.
And, you know, I think the show might let them get through it? I really kind of do think that Chuck/Blair is the endgame so I wouldn't be surprised if they got back together. I'm just not sure I want them to. The whole appeal of Chuck/Blair for me was always the way they *deserved* each other. They were both assholes sometimes, kind of selfish, definitely manipulative, but they loved each other and were loyal to each other and their other friends when it mattered. But I never sat there thinking "wow, she's too good for him." Last night I really did and now I'm all BLAIR DON'T TAKE HIM BACK, and I'm not sure how they're going to get them back together (if they actually are) in a way that isn't upsetting which really pisses me off, because I *love* Chuck/Blair. They were everything I love, and I really hope the show can persuade me they still are, but I don't know. ;___;
y, exactly. if it had been her sleeping with jack because she wants to save chuck and it's the only way she knew how, and chuck not even daring to ask her because he couldn't ask her to do that for him, well, that's all very tragic and noble of them. or if they had some secret scheme to play jack. or even if chuck had asked her, i think they could have worked something out. but chuck using her like that? ugh ugh ugh. i used to love the way that they were both terrible people but totally crazy about each other, and i just didn't get that sense last episode.
YES. *Any* of those other options they could have come back from, but I don't know how they're going to come back from this.

Yes, that exactly. That was why I loved them. I didn't get that sense last episode either, especially from Chuck, because they *could* have worked out some plan to play Jack. Chuck *could* have talked to her about it, but he didn't and UGH. Up until the end I was hoping that he was just SO HURT that she'd done it that he'd been pretending he was in on it when she accused him just to hurt her, but then he went to see Jack and Jack was all, "are you mad I told her?" and then I was SO SAD. Chuck, when Blair Waldorf is too good for you, WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT YOU AS A PERSON? Nothing good.
And I *didn*t see it coming, was the thing, because he seemed so upset when Serena said Blair wasn't there and he connected the dots. But of course he *knew* because he planned it LIKE THE HORRIBLE HUMAN BEING HE APPARENTLY IS. CHUCK. >:(
