Bob McDonnell is Governor of Virginia. That's just great. One of the teams at pub trivia last night was using the name "Congratulations, McDonnell! Women, we hope you enjoyed your time in the work place." Yeah, pretty much.
You know, I spend a lot of time thinking about how acceptable misogyny still is in our culture, so it never really shocks me, but sometimes something happens that manages to break through the wall of cynicism and low-grade anger and just make me sad.
Also, WTF, Maine. I'm actually surprised, just like I was surprised by California last year. Apparently I should know better.
Today is depressing. At least I have the cuddliest cat ever.
