(no subject)
Why do I still watch this show? I don't know! I get it, I get it, yay heteronormativity. :/ It's not that I ever actually thought they would go there with House/Wilson. I'm not that naive, but it was how it was set up at the beginning of the season - a plot line that seems to have disappeared along with Wilson's screentime. Now there's the House/Cuddy stuff that seems kind of shoe-horned in to distract us. I thought it was cute enough after the initial kiss, but now it's just awkward and actively uncomfortable to watch. My embarrassment squick was pinging every time they were onscreen together tonight. It just feels so forced - and ooc for Cuddy. And whatever, you know, I was expecting it, par for the course. EXCEPT that now they're hinting at Thirteen/Foreman. Thirteen, our only queer character, but no! She's bi, so let's reinforce the heteronormativity by making sure she ends up paired with a guy. She might mess around with girls, but only when she's being unhealthy and self destructive. Once she starts taking care of herself, she'll go back to men. GROSS.
The part of it that I really hate is that I could easily like Thirteen/Foreman. I think they've got chemistry and I like both characters. But now I have to hate it on principle and that ANNOYS me.
I keep going to the house/wilson comm to soothe my heart, except that they're mean to Thirteen there and it makes me sad. She's the only one of the new ducklings that I actually like, and currently the only character with a plot line I care about.
Tonight's POTW also annoyed me. This show is on notice. I don't have any real loyalty to you, House! I would have stopped watching long ago if not for hoyay. SHAPE UP.

I watched the end of Entourage too, and it was also not gay enough. Don't have any real comments (the usual, Vince and Eric are married, Ari is awesome, I want to bang Vince), but I never did get into the whole Smoke Jumpers plot line. It would be cool if Vince had a serious movie that was actually shown in theaters and didn't suck. I did like seeing them in New York. I don't imagine we'll get to see the filming of the movie in NY next season, but it would be cool if we did.
I wanted more fall out from Vince firing E other than him just coming crawling and E forgiving him immediately, but I guess they don't have that much time in half an hour. In any other fandom, I would trust the fic writers to fix that for me, but no dice here. WHY IS THERE NOT MORE FIC IN THIS FANDOM IS IT JUST TO HURT ME? <- not completely fair as I have already read one fic addressing this.
Favorite parts were 1) Jamie Lynne Sigler. I hope Turtle gets to keep a girlfriend for awhile. Might he have actual character development this time? Probably not, but ANYTHING COULD HAPPEN. and 2) Dana Gordon. Yes, Ari, I was turned on too.
ETA: I need to upload a holiday icon, but last weekend I filled all available icon slots with more icons of Cobra Starship in various combinations and now I don't know what to delete. Clearly 123 icons are not enough. FIRST WORLD PROBLEMS.
