 New On Sang Boss Closes Store for 3 Days to Avoid Protests;
Over 35 allies and workers persist in protesting;
Boss Agrees to Meet with Workers and then Calls in Sick;
Boss Tells CPA to "Cease and Desist" the protests

Dec. 1, 2008

Dear Allies:

As you can see...A lot's happened in the last week with the New On Sang worker fight.

Many thanks to the allies and friends who joined us in protesting last Sunday. Clearly, our campaign has gotten the bosses' attention!

After scheduling a meeting with CPA and workers for this past Sunday 11/30, New On Sang employer Suzanne claimed illness and asked to postpone meeting until this Wed. We intend to meet in "good faith"; but given her attitude, we are fully prepared to carry on the fight!

"We knew this would happen because Suzanne has always broken her promises to us. She is not showing any sincerity to resolve this problem," said worker Ma.

"We are giving her one more chance, to meet with us Wednesday," said worker Lin Gan. "If she doesn't show up, she'll have to face the consequences. We will continue with our struggle until the end!"

Join us THIS Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, 11am, to launch our BOYCOTT and to tell those bad bosses: "We won't 'cease and desist' in the fight for justice!" Please rsvp to shawsan@cpasf.org.
         **(We'll let you know if she agrees to all our demands on Wednesday and we can cancel. ;)
