Trying not to panic, mostly managing.
So I had a doctor's appointment this morning, and my blood pressure, after 20 minutes of rest, was 148/100. My doctor told me she doesn't see any reason to keep me pregnant any longer and let my health get worse, so she scheduled an induction.
For tonight.
We go into the hospital at 7 p.m. and they will start the process. Baby should arrive tomorrow. I hope October 3rd is a good day to be born. There's a possibility that it won't be until October 4th, but the 3rd is more likely.
Of course, my mom is on a plane on her way home from being here for my shower. She's kicking herself for not changing her flight until after my doctor's appointment, but we figured this wouldn't be happening until next week. Oh well, hindsight and all that.
I'll update as I can. We are supposed to have internet access in our room. We do not have cell phone access (not allowed on patient floors) so email is better.
